Ancient Pathways is proud to host our first annual Grab Bag Challenge. Starting on Tuesday, April 8th we will have bags of mixed yarns available for $5.00. Each bag will have enough yardage to make several small items. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to create an item of your choosing using most of the yarns in the bag. You may add yarns to the mix also. We will then have a People’s Choice contest to determine the Best Overall Item and Most Creative Item. The prizes will be a $25.00 gift certificate to Ancient Pathways. Anything made from the grab bags will be gratefully accepted as a donation to Exceptional Parents Unlimited. Entries must be returned by Saturday, April 26th and customer voting will start on Tuesday, April 29th and run through Saturday May 10th. Any items left after May 17 will be donated to Exceptional Parents Unlimited.

New Yarns

Our long awaited order of Claudia Handpaints has arrived. These are lovely colors in beautiful yarns. Our colors in Fingering (100% Merino Wool) are DF Green, Tropicana (Meg’s favorite), Purple Earth, Cabin Fever, Begonia, Desert Dusk, Thistle and Eat Your Veggies. In Fingering 55, a blend of 55% Silk and 45% Merino Wool we have Argyle Socks, John B. and Walk In The Woods. Linen, we have Linen! Our colors are Ocean Depth, Jill’s Pink and Lipstick.

Plymouth Encore Colorspun Worsted
More Encore! We have received Plymouth Encore in more colors. Encore is a blend of 75% Acrylic and 25% Wool and is great for anything you want to make that needs easy care. We have Encore Colorspun in two pink blends, Pezz Print and Razzle Print. Both of these are self-striping too for more fun in your knitting!
In solid colors we have Baby Pink and White. We are trying out the Chunky version of Encore and now have a blend of muted teal, turquoise, gold and green.

Anzula Hand-dyed Yarns

Sabrina has dyed more fabulous yarns for you to knit with. There are many beautiful fiber blends to choose from including a wonderful soft beachy blend of muted blue, sea green and sand. In fiber choices we have Alpaca/Wool, Cashgora/Superfine Merino, Angora/Merino and Angora/Merino/Polimide.

Colinette Yarns sent Point Five in Pharoh. This is a wonderful thick and thin yarn that all of our beginning spinners love to make. Now you can buy it without learning to spin, or if you are like me and have trouble spinning thick yarn!
