Bring your leftovers and see how they will work with everyone else’s. We will begin by separating all the yarns in color families and then everyone will take a couple of yards each of any yarns that catch their fancy. You can then knit a shawl or scarf lengthways. Bring long circular needles in a range of sizes and we will see what works with your yarn choices. Every shawl comes out so different!
Do you need a quick but luxurious present? We have an intermediate level project for you. It is easy to memorize but looks complicated so you can show off for your non-knitting friends! Come in and see our sample made with cashmere. It won’t cost you an arm and a leg for a scarf and you will be able to make something really special.

Baby sweaters are really popular right now. If you are interested in making a sweater, but leery of making something big this is the way to start. We are knitting Holly's Jacket from The Complete Fabrication blog. Thank you to Jacki Kelly for permission to use her pattern. This can easily be changed to a boy sweater just by using a ribbed edge instead of the ruffle.

Join us a new Knitalong. This time we are going to make the Spring Things Shawl from Susan Lawrence. You can order/download the pattern from http://knittingasfastasican.com/spring-things-shawl/. It uses a lace weight yarn and is good for the adventurous beginner or intermediate knitter. Come on into the shop to see the model. It is always there on the back of a chair or Meg's shoulders. There is no charge for the Knitalong. The fun is in supporting each other throughout the process!

There are some really neat looking patterns out in the knitting world right now. It can be much easier than you think. Learn to do two-color knitting and practice holding the yarn in both hands. We will be making a baby hat. You will need to bring two contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn and 16" circular and double point needles size 7, 8 or 9 needles.
From A Treasury of Magical Knitting, "This richly textured hat seems almost sculpted, although it truly is not difficult to make. It is completely reversible, with the design different on each side."
Take your mobieus passion to a new level with this hat. It starts out like a scarf and then you switch to regular knitting in the round.
