MOSAIC KNITTING
Mosaic knitting uses two colors (usually both held at one side), but only one yarn is handled at time. This is similar to Fair Isle knitting but a little simpler. Sue will show you several different mosaic patterns and after practicing the patterns in the first hour you may start a project of your choice during the second hour.

Bring your leftovers and see how they will work with everyone else’s. We will begin by separating all the yarns in color families and then everyone will take a couple of yards each of any yarns that catch their fancy. You can then knit a shawl or scarf lengthways. Bring long circular needles in a range of sizes and we will see what works with your yarn choices. Every shawl comes out so different!

Baby sweaters are really popular right now. If you are interested in making a sweater, but leery of making something big this is the way to start. This can easily be changed to a boy sweater just by using a ribbed edge instead of the ruffle.
