Break out the insulin and join us for a day of Chocolate feasting. We will be saying goodbye to Marilyn O. as she packs to leave for L.A. In her honor we are asking everyone to bring his or her favorite dessert using chocolate. The only thing Meg asks is that everyone eats some protein before indulging. (No yarn fights because everyone is wired on sugar!)

MOSAIC KNITTING
Mosaic knitting uses two colors (usually both held at one side), but only one yarn is handled at time. This is similar to Fair Isle knitting but a little simpler. Sue will show you several different mosaic patterns and after practicing the patterns in the first hour you may start a project of your choice during the second hour.

Bring your leftovers and see how they will work with everyone else’s. We will begin by separating all the yarns in color families and then everyone will take a couple of yards each of any yarns that catch their fancy. You can then knit a shawl or scarf lengthways. Bring long circular needles in a range of sizes and we will see what works with your yarn choices. Every shawl comes out so different!
Do you need a quick but luxurious present? We have an intermediate level project for you. It is easy to memorize but looks complicated so you can show off for your non-knitting friends! Come in and see our sample made with cashmere. It won’t cost you an arm and a leg for a scarf and you will be able to make something really special.

Do you need a quick gift? We have something different in mind for you this year. We will be knitting bracelets using small gauge wire and beads. Another option is to make a wrap for votive candleholders or even larger pillars. You should be able to knit one or two in an evening. You will need to purchase the beads and wire before class. Supply list is available when you sign up.

Baby sweaters are really popular right now. If you are interested in making a sweater, but leery of making something big this is the way to start. We are knitting Holly's Jacket from The Complete Fabrication blog. Thank you to Jacki Kelly for permission to use her pattern. This can easily be changed to a boy sweater just by using a ribbed edge instead of the ruffle.
